Common questions about authorization codes, EPP transfer rules, and timing during domain transfers.
Never! A domain transfer only means that the management (billing) of your domain is moved to us. Your existing hosting and DNS settings remain exactly the same unless you change them. Your site will not go down and your emails will continue to work. The transfer is completed in the background without your visitors noticing anything.
On the contrary, you gain! When the transfer process is completed, +1 year is added to the remaining period of your domain name. So neither do you lose your remaining time nor do you extend it for one more year at a favorable price. The transfer fee is essentially a 1-year renewal fee; you do not pay any extra "moving cost".
The domain transfer time generally varies between 1 and 7 days depending on the approval of your previous registrar. As Bogahost, we guide you through the process to speed up the domain transfer. If your previous provider approves immediately, your domain transfer can be completed within minutes and you can start managing it from your new panel.
No, your website or emails are never interrupted during a domain transfer. A domain transfer is only a change of administration (billing); your DNS settings (NS) remain the same. While your site stays online without disruption, you start benefiting from more affordable domain renewal advantages.
A domain transfer code (Auth Code or EPP Code) is the password that enables your domain to be securely moved to another provider. To initiate a domain transfer, you need to remove the "Transfer Lock" from your current provider's panel and request the EPP code. A domain transfer cannot be performed without this code.
Absolutely! When your domain transfer is successfully completed, +1 Year (365 days) is automatically added on top of your existing period. So the domain transfer fee you pay is essentially a one-year renewal fee; you do not pay any extra transfer charges. You both get a cheap domain transfer and extend your registration period.
Yes. In addition to global extensions such as .com, .net and .org, .tr domain names like .com.tr can now also be transferred completely without documents or paperwork. Place your document-free domain transfer order through Bogahost, enter your transfer code and enjoy the process.
For a domain transfer to be initiated, at least 60 days must have passed since the registration date of the domain, the transfer lock (Registrar Lock) must be disabled, and the transfer code must be entered correctly. Additionally, it is recommended that at least 1 week remain until the expiration date for a smooth domain transfer.
